Recently put together this 26 icon set of small icons that are illustrated using negative and positive space. The main advantage of these icons is their ability to adapt to any design with the simple shift of color. Just pop it into photoshop, hit the colorize button in the hue saturation menu, and there! you can switch it to any color by simply adjusting the lightness and hue.

One artist I have followed recently started a project called One And A Hundred.

He describes it as: “His intention was pure, plain and simple - to capture the beauty of panorama pictures using only a simple mobile device - the Sony Ericson Walkman, W880i handphone.

In his thoughts, many have oversees this function which has been laying silent and faithfully in the device, waiting to amaze their users. Hence, this project aims to showcase 100 panorama pictures captured using this single mobile device, which in this case, gave rise to the title of this project - One and a Hundred. “

Take a quick look, while he still may only be at 23 pictures, many of them incorporate great contrast and composition. It makes you wonder how he shot these photos with a camera phone.

For awhile, I have been watching Nano-004’s (a.k.a Atsuko-04) work, and I have been amazed by how little attention it gets. His use of colors is quite amazing in his abstract 3d work, and also in his vectors. Although he does not have many pieces of work at the moment, he makes up for it with the quality of his work. I recommend you go and take a look at his work (especially the more recent works), as it is exceptionally inspiring.

Illustration is a vast range of artwork and styles of drawing, painting and digital art, however, it remains that illustration is inspirational, for any field of art or design. I composed this list of illustrators to help you find inspiration, if you need it, or just become introduced to the different works of these artists. I begin with:

  1. The Heads Of State - The Heads of State use a nice texture to add to their illustrations that already speak a clear message.
  2. theheadsofstate.com
  3. Dennis Juan Ma - A neat style of illustration, along with several humorous pieces of work make Dennis Juan Ma inspirational.
  4. Whoisjuan.com
  5. Yoshi Tajima - Yoshi Tajima’s covers many types of illustration and even covers graphic design. This artist’s work is inspiring and beautiful.
  6. Radiographics.jp

Recently I came across this stock vectors/images site that has a lot of inspiring vectors. Although I have yet to buy something from their site, I still find it quite interesting to browse through their vectors and stock motions, particularly their vector crests. If you lack inspiration, or you just have some free time on your hands, I suggest you check them out.
